The vallee d'Aure (valley of Aure) is
praised in all traveling guides of the French Pyrenees, for being

is an open air municipal swimming pool. Many spectacular activities
are organized in this village such as zoals rafting, parapente (a
sort of parachute) hiking and so on. In the wild mountain river "la
Neste" fine trouts can be found, attracting professional and amateur
fishermen from all over the continent. In the region you can also
visit to the varous prehistorical caves with amazing stone drippings.
Lourdes is located at a one-hour distance. At the "Pic du Midi" (2877
meter) the famous Observatory of the Sun is rebulit as a museum and
is well worth a visit. |
